Terms of Use

Effective 30 October 2026 (version 1.1). Replaces the version of 10 October 2026.

Sirena Logbook is licensed to you under Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These terms add a few points specific to the app.

1. Not an official record

Sirena Logbook is a personal tool. It does not replace your original certificates, your discharge book or any record kept by a flag state, company or authority. The sea service PDF is a summary prepared by you; it becomes evidence only when the master or the company signs and stamps it.

2. Check what the app reads

The app reads text from your documents automatically and may get a field wrong. You confirm each field before saving and you stay responsible for the dates and numbers you rely on. Reminders are a help, not a guarantee: always check the expiry dates on the documents themselves.

3. Your data, your copy

Your documents, scans, contracts, hours of rest and boat records are stored only on your iPhone or iPad. We cannot restore lost data. Keep your iPhone or iPad backed up. If you link Sirena.Club, the app exchanges only what the Privacy Policy describes in section 6a.

4. Logbook Pro

Logbook Pro is a yearly auto-renewable subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. It renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the end of the period. You can manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple.

4a. Worldwide by design

The Sirena family of apps (Sirena Seafarer, Sirena.Club and Sirena Logbook) is built for seafarers and boat owners everywhere. Whether a particular app, feature, subscription or price is offered in your country is decided per App Store country. It depends on Apple's rules and on the laws and regulations that apply there, including obligations for online platforms, which can change over time. Where an app or a feature is not offered in your country, the benefits that depend on it, such as Logbook Pro included with a Sirena.Club membership, cannot be used there. Every app in the family stays fully usable on its own and sells its own subscription through the App Store. Purchases and refunds are handled by Apple under its terms. Nothing in this section limits your rights under the consumer law of your country.

4b. Apple Intelligence

On an iPhone or iPad with Apple Intelligence, Ask Logbook and the reading of scans use Apple's on-device model. Ask Logbook shows your own records, word for word; it can pick the wrong ones, and a read field can be wrong. Check every field and every answer against the document itself before you rely on it.

5. Liability

Your statutory rights. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right, remedy, guarantee or warranty that the law of the country where you live gives you and that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. This includes the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law, the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, the consumer laws of the EU and EEA member states, and the consumer laws of your US state or Canadian province. Where the law allows our liability for a failure to meet such a guarantee to be limited, it is limited to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again. The limits in this section apply only to the extent the law of your country allows.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for missed renewals, refused boardings, fines or any other loss caused by an expired document or a wrong date. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.

5a. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Bulgaria. If you are a consumer living in another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of that country and can bring a claim in the courts where you live. Please write to us first: most problems can be solved by email.
